Seat Belt Extenders
Seat belt extenders make fastening and releasing seat belts easier for stroke survivors with limited mobility. They allow the occupant to click or release their belts on their own, especially in cases of emergency.
Portable Ramps
Portable ramps come in various sizes and help with transporting wheelchairs, scooters, or other heavier devices. They also can help with small transitions in the home.
Fall Detection Wearables
Falls are common sometimes during stroke recovery. There are a variety of wearable devices that can detect a fall and call for help. Pictured here is the AppleWatch which can detect falls, as well as provide the ability to make emergency calls, monitor basic health metrics, and even tell time.
When You Gotta Go When Traveling
When traveling, finding a handicap accessible restroom can be difficult. There are a number of apps you can download to your phone to help with the search but they are crowd sourced and may be incomplete. But Google Maps to the rescue. Check out this link for info to make your next trip easy-peesy.
